About
Home to the Adirondack 46ers, including the Cascade-Porter starter route and a strict bear canister requirement.
The Adirondack High Peaks Wilderness in upstate New York contains all 46 of the Adirondack "46ers" — peaks over 4,000 feet climbed by generations of regional hikers. Cascade and Porter Mountains are the standard entry point; the Eastern High Peaks Wilderness also carries one of the strictest bear canister rules in the country.
